The purpose of the shooting sports club is to provide a learning environment for the development of knowledge and life skills in the disciplines of archery, shotgun, small bore rifle, small bore pistol, muzzleloaders, air rifle, air pistol, and hunter skills. Youth gain self-discipline, focus, and confidence through individual and/or team opportunities while concurrently developing group leadership skills.

Membership shall be open to Onslow County, North Carolina youth who are at least 8 years of age and who have not reached the age of 19 as of January 1 of the current year. 

They have the opportunity to compete at regional, state, and national levels.
